Missed the point...

These things are only funny when the speech is sped up. When it's at normal speed, it's boring. That's how the whole "X in a Nutshell" thing works. It should be considerably shorter too.

I love how the reviewer above me gave it a 7 for interaction. Nice work...

Wonchop responds:

I mumble a lot, so if I sped it up then it would've been even less understandable.

Wow...

Wow. Pretty damn good. I love the usage of the song from the Saw soundtrack at the end. It actually fit extremely well into the context, even though it has a much more modern sound.

It's a pretty damn gorgeous movie too. I'm going to guess that this is vaguely inspired by the Prowlie and Brackenwood series? It seemed to have a familiar visual style.

It had a neat ending. It's nice to see the bad guys win every now and then.

Excellent!

This is good, it's really good. Aside from the fact it seems to be made exclusively for Newgrounds.

The voice acting was great, it was visually stylistic and even though it looked fairly simple, it was still animated well, and it was sharp. Unlike all those stupid movies Joseph Blanchett has done, which I think are grossly overrated, as is his sense of "humor", (Simpsons plagiarisations anyone?) I actually find this funny. And I think it truly deserves such a high rating. It had a neat ending too. I give this my congratulatory thumbs up.

I like your other movies too.

I missed something...

I don't understand why this is so popular.

I find the song extremely annoying, and it's very similar to the snakes in the plane song, almost identical in some ways. As well as that, the animation is really crummy, looking like it was drawn with a mouse. I don't want to sound too harsh, but I think something inside me, sub consciously, is telling me to hate this movie. Which I do.

To each his own, right? Well I don't dig this. It's annoying. Congratulations, I'm glad the rest of the Internet likes it, but I don't.

I'll still rate it fairly, but I stand by my statement by once again saying I don't understand why this is so popular. I really, really don't.

A few things...

The animation was great. But what's the go with the music? And the voice acting was terrible.

If you replaced that whole intro song with something by James Horner, you'd have win. I know you were going for that whole humanized element with the marines, as if they listen to music like that. But I just don't think it worked. And furthermore on the voice acting, it sounded like Jango Fett, and that's not a good thing.

LogFish responds:

Hmm, well I like that song - it's on the movie 'Old School' heh. And it reminds me of the StarCraft intro movie, where they've got similar music playing (as if they're listening to it) which is why I put it in this one. I'm on dialup so I work with what music I have.

I'm a New Zealander. Jango Fett was played by a New Zealander. I have a New Zealand accent. I'll put a warning in my blurb heh.

Anyway I'll keep your points in mind thanks for the review!

Revenge of your mom?

Oh dear...

A wise man once said if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. I'll rate this and keep my mouth shut.

Technically it's sound, aside from random audio slip ups. It looks alright.

I'm saying no more...

Mildly Funny...

Not as funny as your earlier movies.

I think the dialogue is becoming almost audacious at times, and the voice acting, whilst initally funny, can only be taken in short periods, and becomes annoying after watching the movie in its entirety.

I am a huge fan of both series, and I must say, you hit the nail squarely on the head with this. The movie was both a wasted oppurtunity and carved a major plot hole in both series. If something is good, why do we try to change it, or reinvent it again, and again. In my opinion, Alien 3, whilst bringing a new look and feel to the series, should never have been made. The director, was wise to disown it.

Your movie has the same visual charm as the rest. The art is simple, but highly effective. Coming, no less from the clever use of gradient colors, as a means of simple shading. The animation was also simple, but once again, this seemed to hardly dampen the effectiveness of the movie as a whole.

I rate this, an average, 3 out of 5 (or 7 out of 10 if you will)

I do look forward to your opinion on the other movies, that hollywood continues to push out each week. Perhaps you should be reviewing games as well? I gathered from the extensive collection of movies you've submitted, you are more than just a casual gamer?

A bit of trivia, the largest percentage of movies currently being released are either sequels, prequels, remakes, or based off pre-existing material. Isn't is sad? Soon, we'll be seing remakes of remakes.

what the hell were they thinking?!

Frontpage for this piece of trash? Jeez, Fulp must be getting desperate.

This wasn't funny in the slightest. It was poorly animated and drawn. The voice acting was appalling and extremely annoying. Only a young teenage virgin mind could create something as stupid and immature as this.

Grow Up.

Front page...sheesh...

D-to-da-P responds:

wow, having you review this makes me really happy im glad you liked it i hope to hear form you in the future.

Excellent, truly in the Xiao Xiao League...

This is one of the only stick movies I have seen which I would put in the same league as the infamous Xiao Xiao series.

Your movie sports polished animation and effects seen rarely in the abundance of commonly released stick movies. There was no plot, it was just the non-stop brutal shenanigans of 3 colored stick men. The music could have been synced to the action on screen better, but overall this hardly hindered the end result.

Congratulate yourself, this is truly something special. And you've risen above the crowd of stickdeath clones. Kudos.

Look forward to your future projects.

Not as good as it could have been...

I thought this was a major dissapointment. Legendary Frog has done some hilarious things. And aside from the short voice acting work of Liquid Snake, I found this to be boring, self indulgent and tedious.

Graphically this was nothing special, the music was annoying remix's from old games.

I am a huge fan of the metal gear games, I own the entire collection. I can only hope the rest of this new series is funnier than its premiere.

I'm a business, man.
