Weird...

What's the name of the very first song that plays? I know it's Daft Punk I just don' know the track name.

Different...

I love the song. What's it called?

Very nice!

If all the Sonic movies submitted were like this I'd want to see more of them. This is really, really good. It's obviously heavily inspired by Dragonball Z, but it's still really good. Probably one of the best Sonic movies I've ever seen on NG. Definitely one of the best animated. It's good that you didn't use sprites, so you get high marks from me just for drawing it all yourself.

Have at ye!

Haha, I love this series. The art is shoddy as hell, but the humor makes up for it. This is one of the funniest series on NG, I honestly think so. I've got a bunch of friends who do pen and paper RP stuff, and this is so similar to how they act.

I know people say this, but I honestly mean it: I can't wait for the next instalment.

It was a great flash, but what's this "emails everyday" garbage? I've never even heard of you. Aside from that questionable commentary, you've created a nice little music video. A great song, and you've really synched the lips to the lyrics almost flawlessly.

Serenity now!

This is great. The music is so fitting, and it just completes the whole infomercial feeling. The animation is sublte and extremely simple, but also largely effective. It totally adds to the whole atmosphere, and I think is perfect for the style of movie. The little titles which pop up are well timed and the jokes are actually pretty funny. From the relatively small file size, I was inclined to think it was going to be something really short and crappy, but you've managed to squeeze a fairly decent time slot out of a sublime file size.

Well done.

Thanks for watching!

Ok some pointers.

The music is drowning out the voice, if it weren't for the subtitles, we'd have no idea what you're saying. Even though you've got the subtitles, you should still lower the music level so we can still hear the dialogue.

Luckily you've chosen a flash genre that gets a lot of attention, so many people will be able to give you lots of good pointers and tips. I'm glad that for a first movie you submitted something that you actually clearly spent time on, instead of how some people post their first flash movies which seemingly took 10 minutes to make. This shows that you put in the effort.

I think the final problem is the story. The story is a bit weak, you should try and work on something that is engaging and interesting. At least, that's something to think about when you're planning your next movie.

If you like the sprite style, stick with it. You seem to be getting the hang of it, so stick with it and see where it goes. Don't start trying to make Anime movies with it, just stay basic and do the best you can.

I'll keep my eye out for your next movie.

The animation is really good for a flash movie. But the major letdown is the voice acting. Sorry to sound harsh, but the voice acting is simply terrible. You should try changing the music too, the same track playing throughout the entire Dracula fight got extremely repetitious. But it's still about three hundred times better than most things that get posted in the portal, and it's very clear you've got skill and that you spent a lot of time on this. Just work on those things.

1. The voice acting.
2. More diversity with the music.

Look forward to the next installment.

Been spending most my life...

...living in an Amish paradise...

I can't believe you fitted all this into a 300kb flash file. That's worth high marks by itself. I think what has happened here is that for once, someone trying to say something, has said it without it sounding disjointed and meaningless. The dialogue actually serves purpose, and it's not just like someone saying something like "only one choice, no future" or some other random connotation towards the Amish life style.

It's really charming to watch, and the music really sets the mood. I like how you've got the sort of flickering effect playing over the movie, which kind of looks like the old film serials from the 50's. The character's design is fresh and unique, and it really looks quite professional.

Cons: Voice acting is a bit muffled at times, could be clearer. And also, it is a rather obscure subject, one which I don't think many people would relate to or understand, save for Amish people themselves, but chances are they'd never see it.

Good movie, top marks from me.

Thanks a lot

I liked it...

It was pretty good. You get high marks from me because I'm a huge Doom fan. I think the file size could be considerably smaller, and I attribute it to the assumption that you didn't compress your audio. Some of the action scenes are really cool, a personal favorite being when the Marine pulls out his plasma rifle and wastes a few demons with Crystal Method pumping in the back ground. The final shot of the rocket slowly flying towards the Spider Mastermind was brilliant.

Only thing I'd complain about is the inclusion of the Mancubus. Most would know it didn't appear until the second game.

But other than that I think you did a great job. The music was well chosen and the animation was smooth enough that it didn't draw attention to itself, which is good considering that you were limited in scope of what you could achieve.

LilDwarf responds:

Wow, good review. Thanks! Unlike popular belief, all my audio is cut and imported .wav and them compressed mp3 at 16kpbs I assume that's the way to compress it; I saw it at the flash help page, if not please let me know @__@ I'm glad you liked all the actions scenes. I added the mancubus just to add a bit of variety to the movie :P

I'm a business, man.
